Wow...it is really early!

Being an ex military family, we are used to traveling at night.  It works great for us.  So our Disney trips always start at 3am.  This allows us to travel while the kids are asleep, and we wake them up around 9 for breakfast in Ocala.

We always stop at Cracker Barrel for a good filling breakfast, fill up the car again and hit the road with only about an hour and a half until we arrive.

I usually sleep until about an hour before we leave the house, and the kids stay up watching movies...well not this trip!

We still left at 3 am...but since Dad had to work on Sunday until 7pm, Mom had to stay up with the kids.  So I took a quick hour nap Sunday afternoon.  Dad went to bed about 10 and slept until 2:30.  Which gave him about 30 minutes less sleep than he normally gets on a work night.

However, leaving out at 3 am was really early!  We had packed up the car the day before, so we were all set to go when the time came... but since Mom has problems sleeping in the car, well, let's just say she was one tired Mama!

The trip was uneventful.  I think it is the first trip that was not foggy or raining.  Since we go back roads for the first couple of hours, we had to both keep our eyes open for deer.

Then, finally we see the familiar stop for breakfast, then we hit the turnpike and before you know it we are knocking on Disney's back door!
